BENJAMIN AITALA

 

 

Benjamín Aitala (1971) is a painter, sculptor, curator and assembler. He studied at the College of Fine Arts in La Plata. He was a scholarship holder of Jóvenes Creadores (Young Creators) of the National Fund of Arts, Antorchas Foundation and TRAMA Foundation.

 

His works are part of the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, the Art Nexus & Celia Birbragher Collection, the Kentucky Museum (USA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design of Costa Rica (MADC), among many other important private and public collections of Argentina, Brazil, Germany, India, Japan, Canada, USA, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia.

 

In Argentina he is represented by the Isabel Anchorena gallery; in New York by Artemisa Gallery; in Peru and London by Karpio Group; in Colombia by the Elvira Moreno gallery; in Costa Rica by Artflow and in Miami by Coral Contemporary Gallery. His works have been presented at arteBA, artMiami, PINTAmiami, Valoarte, Art Basel, artBO, artLIMA, Barcú, San Francisco ArtMarket and Scope, among other contemporary art fairs.

 

He exhibited individually and colectively in galeries in Latin America.
